Aktuelles - Entwicklungstagung “Peace, justice and stable institutions.” Weighty words make up the 16th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals: Peace, justice and strong institutions. It formulates a grand vision, as peace and justice are ancient dreams of humankind. As the penultimate goal, it brings together more dimensions than any other of the United Nations‘ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. At first glance, these dimensions do not seem to fit together. However, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that almost all of the other SDGs cannot be achieved without inclusive, effective and accountable institutions. Many goals are invalid or even nullified without peace, while achieving them would bring great progress for justice. In Europe, universities play a key role in advancing AI solutions that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to global efforts for a greener and more equitable future. Aims This Seminar aims to create a dynamic forum for dialogue and exchange at the intersection of AI, sustainability, and climate science.
