The Sustainability Office of Uni Wien and Green Labs Austria are hosting a symposium about “Laboratory Plastic Recycling: Sustainable Research at Uni Wien and Beyond”, taking place on 24 February 2026, 16:00-19:00 at the University of Vienna Biology Building.
Laboratories are among the most resource-intensive environments at universities, with plastic consumables accounting for a large share of waste. This symposium brings together experts from research, operations, and waste management to discuss practical approaches to laboratory plastic recycling and broader sustainability in research.
