SUMMARY:Weiterbildung: Zertifikat für Hochschullehrende Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung
DESCRIPTION:Die Arbeitsgruppe Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung der Allianz ermöglicht ab Oktober 2022 eine Zertifizierung für Hochschullehrende. Das „Zertifikat für Hochschullehrende Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung“ wird im Rahmen eines Weiterbildungsprogramms vergeben. \n\n\n\nNach erfolgreichem Abschluss des Zertifikats für Hochschullende Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung sind Hochschullehrende fähig\, ihre Lehre im Sinn einer Nachhaltigen Entwicklung auszurichten. Dazu gehört es nicht nur\, Nachhaltigkeitskonzepte und Diskurse zu vermitteln\, sondern auch\, das eigene Fach in Bezug auf Nachhaltige Entwicklung kritisch zu beleuchten und potenzielle Beiträge des Faches zu einer nachhaltigkeitsorientierten gesellschaftlichen Transformation zu vermitteln. \n\n\n\nAlle Termine und mehr Informationen zur Weiterbildung finden Sie hier: https://nachhaltigeuniversitaeten.at/zertifikat/

DESCRIPTION:Guest lecture by Fadi Comair\, Director of Energy\, Environment and Water Research Centre (EEWRC) at the Cyprus Institute\, ESEIA memberResponse 1: Sylvain Migan\, Director General of Hydraulic Resources of the Benin and Advisor of the President (remotely)Response 2: Thomas Schauppenlehner\, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences\, ViennaChair: Daniela Fuchs-Hanusch\, TU Graz\, Urban Water Management and Landscape Water Engineering \n\n\n\nClimate change and growing populations are placing additional pressure on the availability of food\, energy and water especially in the Mediterranean parts of Europe and particularly in Africa\, accompanied by an increased environmental footprint. The Water\, Energy\, Food\, Ecosystems Nexus approach is key to ensuring resilient\, circular and green economies and to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Our guest lecturer will address these challenges and explain how a range of stakeholders across countries need to be engaged. He will also explain how science diplomacy can advance co-development in the EU and in African communities using the example of the EU funded project WEFE4MED. Our first respondent from Africa will explain the case of the West African Republic of Benin (French: République du Bénin).
